| During the decade
of the 1940's, godly people with a vision to reach and minister to
others through a camp setting, purchased the property which has
become Cross Pointe Camp & Retreat Center. It is owned and
operated by the Southern Missouri District Council of the
Assemblies of God. The camp has developed over the years and is
able to accommodate more than 800 in a camp, retreat, meeting or
conference. Cross Pointe has provided many with the opportunity to
find Christ and they have continued on to become pastors,
missionaries and church leaders.
Cross Pointe is located on beautiful
Lake of the Ozarks and can be enjoyed from many vistas throughout
the center. Lake of the Ozarks is a popular vacation area. Country
music shows, outlet mall shopping, fine restaurants, golf courses,
horseback riding, boating, etc., are within a reasonable distance
of Cross Pointe.
Our amphitheater, one of our main
attractions, provides a wonderful view of the lake and has seating
for 300. Inspiration point is another area where one can just sit
and enjoy on overlook of the lake providing a time of meditation
upon God's goodness.
